About Alex Anderson
A native of Dallas, Texas, Alex Anderson graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Electronic Media and Communications. Classically trained, Alex has starred in more than 10 short films and stage productions in Los Angeles and Texas. In 2010, Alex was cast for a leading role in the critically acclaimed short film Clay, which won first place in the Heartland Truly Moving Pictures Film Festival in Indianapolis. This short film sparked his love and passion for film and storytelling.In his formative years, Alex craved formal training and began taking acting classes, during which he was taught by several Broadway alums, including Dean Nolan of the original Mama Mia! Broadway run. He starred in several plays and short films such as In The Running, a movie made by PBS in Texas, and Conundrum and The Canvas, two powerful short films selected to participate in Los Angeles Cinefest and the Miami Independent Film Festival. In 2018, Alex landed a supporting role in Group, a pilot television show currently in the film festival circuit. Later that year, he played the role of Lucien Smith in a stage production of The Boys Next Door. Alex has also directed, produced, and been featured in a number a short films and promos throughout his college career and shortly after, including a few promotional shorts for Texas Tech University’s College of Media and Communication. Now living in Los Angeles, Alex's goal is to use the tenacity he developed winning gold medals in track and field and the patience he acquired studying three languages in order to pursue his passion for acting and storytelling.
